INTOXICATED MOTORIST

MASTERTON RESIDENT BEFORE COURT. A FINE OF £lO IMPOSED. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the Greytown S.M. Court this morning before Messrs M. Maxton and H. G. Carter, J’s. P.. Gordon Sutherland Mackay, of Masterton, was charged with having been in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car. It was stated in evidence that accused had been stopped by TrafficInspector Nicholson while driving through Greytown at 1 o’clock this morning. The Bench fined accused £lO, his driver’s licence was cancelled and he was disqualified from holding another licence until June 1, 1940.
