ACCIDENT ON FARM

SERIOUS SPINAL INJURIES. SUFFERED BY FARMER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TAURANGA, This Day. A well known farmer, Mr Patrick McKenna, met with a serious accident while working on his farm at Ohauiti. He was engaged in top dressing and was driving a machine when a horse got a leg over the chains. Mr McKenna proceeded to adjust the chains when his hat blew off and frightened the team, which bolted. The top dresser struck McKenna with considerable force, inflicting serious spinal injuries, the full extent of which are not yet known. Mr McKenna was President of the local branch of the Labour Party.
