Mrs T. J. Austin, of Nelson, is the guest of Mrs R. C. Austin, of Pahiatua. Miss Rose Burgess, of Mangaramarama, has joined the staff of the Wanganui hospital. Mrs George Sunnex, of Hukanui, has returned home after a visit to Masterton. Mr and Mrs J. Carruthers, of Masterton, left today on a tour of the North Island. Miss P. Moore, Eastbourne, is staying with Mrs A. R. Bunny. Hogg Crescent, Masterton. Miss Lotus White, of Pahiatua. has left for Palmerston North, where she will in future reside. Mrs J. Walker, of Masterton, who was a patient at the Mosterton Hospital, has returned home. Mrs R. H. Sharpe, of Wellington, will be the guest of Mrs E. Jewitt, of Haunui, over the holidays. Misses Vera Judd and Edith Ralph, of Chapel Street, Masterton, will leave tomorrow on a visit to Napier. Mrs J. A. Walsh left Pahiatua today for Gisborne where she will be the guest of Mrs Gordon Gregory. Mrs R. Harman has returned lo Masterton after having been the guest of Mrs G. Sunnex, of Hukanui. The Misses Foss, of Wellington, will be the guests of Mrs W. O. Twentyman, Hukanui, during the holidays. Miss Julius was the guest of her sister, Mrs E. M. Simmers, of Eketahuna, prior to her departure on a holiday visit to Brisbane. ' Mr and Mrs R. E. Tripe, Selwyn Terrace, Wellington, will stay with Mr and Mrs Don Cameron, Martinborough, for the Christmas holidays. Mrs A. W. McKenzie, of Renall .Street, Masterton, and her sister, Mrs Read, of Gisborne, will leave tomorrow for Eastbourne, where they will spend a holiday. Mr and Mrs T. Batty, Senr., of Nelson, are spending the Christmas holidays with Mr and Mrs W. Batty, Akura Road, Masterton. Miss Joyce Dickson, of Auckland, is spending the school vacation with her parents, Mr and Mrs W. Dickson, Victoria Street, Masterton. Visitors staying at “Te Rata,” Makuri (Pahiatua), the home of Mr and Mrs David Rutherford, for the wedding of their daughter Josephine to Mr T. G. Harvey, on Saturday, are Mr and Mrs Elliot Rutherfurd, Stratford, Mr and Mrs Gordon Babbage and Miss Barbara Babbage, Wanganui, Mr and Mrs A. Rutherfurd, New Guinea, Mrs A. J.
