Mrs Rogers, of Turakina is the guest of Mrs S. P. Page, Eketahuna. Mrs R. Maxwell, of Masterton, was a visitor to Palmerston North yesterday. Miss A. M. Payton, Victoria Street, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Hawke’s Bay. Mr and Mrs W. Lett, of Whangarei, and formerly of Masterton, are paying a visit to Masterton. Mrs Dan McKenzie, who had been the guest of Mrs R. Maxwell, College Street, Masterton, has returned to her home in Lower Hutt. Misses Vivienne and Betty Blamires were the guests of Mrs L. B. Maunsell, Opaki Road, during their visit to Masterton. Mrs Frohlich, wife-of Dr. H. Frohlich, a recent arrival from Germany, has with her husband taken a house in Te Ore Ore Road, Masterton. CARTERTON (“Times-Age” Special.) A delightful gift afternoon was given to Miss Lorna Harris recently in honour of her approaching marriage to Mr J. Johnston, the hostess being Mrs Clarence Moore of Hilton Road. Afternoon tea was served on the lawn and the bride-to-be received a splendid assortment of china gifts.
