BOWLING
MASTERTON PARK CLUB. KEANE TROPHY COMPETITION. The first of this season’s games for the Keane trophy will be played during the weekend between representatives of the Lyall Bay, Featherston and Park clubs. The match will be played on the Park green, and the first game is set down to commence at 9.30 a.m. The following have been selected to represent the Park Club: —Burke, Fenton, Braggins, Shearer (s); Leigh, Osborne, Dagg. J. C. Ewington (s); Anstice. Brown. Aydon, Simpson (s); Ferguson, Butler, Thompson, Bell (s'); Roff. Brady, Southey, Kilgour (s); Smith, Buckley, Jenkins. Staniforth (s). Any player who is unable to attend is requested to advise the selector, Mr R. Jenkins (’phone 1995) as early as possible. PAHIATUA v. MASTERTON. The following rinks will represent the Masterton Bowling Club in a friendly match with the Pahiatua Bowling Club, commencing at 1.15 p.m.:— Watson, Yule, Beecroft, Morton (s); Haycraft, Bannister, Hayne, Reid (s); Roberts, Hunt, Skeet, Ewington (s); Vowell, Latimer, Thurston, Taylor (s); Volheim, Lewis. Finlayson, Stubbings (s).
