SPORTS ASSOCIATION. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. At a representative meeting of teachers held in the Central School, Masterton, the following officers were elected in connection with the Masterton Primary Schools’ Sports Association: —Patron, Mr R. C. Drummond; president, Mr J. W. T. Jones (Lansdowne); vice-president, Mr E. C. Coddington (Central), Miss O’Donnell (Sobray); hon. secretary, Mr H. M. Smith (Lansdowne): treasurer, Mr Rust (Masterton West); committee of delegates representing: Rugby football, Mr V. Welsh (Masterton West); cricket, Mr Berry (Whatman); tennis, Mr J. A. Kennedy (Central); swimming, Mr R. Boys (Masterton West); basketball, Mother Theresa (St. Bride’s); athletics, Miss Taylor (Central). The objects of the executive are to control and to further sporting activities in the primary schools of the Masterton district.
