The situation in north Palestine is particularly serious, says the Cairo correspondent of the ’‘Daily Mail.” The leader of the rebellion is now a fugitive in Beyrout and Abdel Rahman Haj Mohammed is commander-in-chief of the organised rebels. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem is more powerful than ever while the Palestine Government holds only the shadow of office. Palestine' is becoming a land of razed villages and empty houses, whose occupants had joined the rebels because there is nowhere else to go. Abdel Rahman 'issues daily communiques which mysteriously appear on the doorsteps of the troubled areas. SENTRIES, SURPRISED. TWO SOLDIERS WOUNDED.
