COSY THEATRE
“SHE MARRIED AN ARTIST.” “She Married An Artist,” will be shown again tonight at the Cosy Theatre. It is an outstanding comedy with clowning provided by John Boles, Luli Deste, Frances Drake, Helen Westley, Alexander D’Arcy and other stalwarts, things start merrily just as soon as the picture opens. Boles has never been in better form, and Miss Deste is quite a delightful personality. Miss Drake, Miss Westley and D’Arcy do splendidly also. “She Married An Artist,” is a picture no artist can paint. Coming from the hands of one of the greatest story-writers of the century —Edgar Wallace —“The Frog,” which is an adaptation of the famous play, bears the stamp of perfect entertainment with its full quota of thrills, comedy and romance. Gordon Harker has never appeared to better advantage than as the indomitable Sergeant Elk. Noah Beery, Carol Goodner, Esme Percy, Jack Hawkins, Vavian Gaye, all contribute excellent characterisations to this superb example of screen art at its. best.
