A GROUP WEDDING

UNIQUE EVENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 7. Probably unique in New Zealand will be a ceremony at St Patrick’s Cathedral tomorrow, when four Dalmatian girls will be married to four Dalmatian men. A simultaneous ceremony will be carried out by the Rev Dr Buxton, Administrator of the Cathedral. All eight will make their vows together as they stand at the altar rails, but the rings will be blessed separately, and the priest will bind with his stole the hands of each couple in turn, symbolising the Christian marriage bond. The girls arrived from Yugoslavia a few days ago, but the bridegrooms have been in New Zealand for some time.
