Notice of Licensing Poll (Proposals for National Continuance, National Prohibition, or State Purchase and Control), and of Time and Place for Selection of Fit Persons to appoint Scrutineers therefor. JN pursuance of the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, I, James Bruce Davis, Returning' Officer for the Wairarapa Licensing District, do hereby give notice that, on the 15th day of October, 1938, the day appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the Electoral District of Wairarapa, simultaneously therewith a LICENSING POLL will be taken upon the following proposals: — NATIONAL CONTINUANCE. STATE PURCHASE & CONTROL. NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals, must be lodged with me not later than five o’clock in the afternoon of the 7th day of October, 1938. And I hereby give notice that I shall, on the 10th day of October, 1938, at the hour of eleven o’clock in the forenoon, at my office in Anzac Hall, Featherston, publicly consider all nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the said Licensing Poll.
