HOKOWHITU GOLF TOURNEY. MR R. McKENZIE SUCCESSFUL. The legal profession’s annual golf tournament was concluded at Hokowhitu on Monday and the weather and the course could hardly have been improved upon. R. McKenzie, of Masterton, accounted for W. Middleton, of New Plymouth, in the final of the Destitute Persons Stakes. The following are detailed results:— “Devil’s Own” Cup—Semi-finals: L. A. Dougall (Christchurch) beat R. T. Peacock (Wellington); J. A. Grant (Manawatu) beat W. L. Fitzherbert (Manawatu). Final: Grant beat Dougall, 2 and 1. Mortgagors’ Rehabilitation Stakes. — Semi-finals: A. M. Goulding (Wellington) beat A. Wiren (Wellington); B. Vickerman (Wellington) beat C. Marsack (Masterton). Final: Goulding beat Vickerman, 4 and 2. Paupers' Appeal Stakes. — Semi-fin-als: A. E. Lawry (Napier) beat L. G. Sinclair (Manawatu); M. H. Oram (Manawatu) beat D. R. Richmond (Wellington). Final: Lawry beat Oram, 3 and 2. Destitute Persons’ Stakes. —Semi-fin-als: R. McKenzie (Masterton) beat J. Bennett (Wellington); W. Middleton (New Plymouth) boat J. W. Card (Featherston). Final: McKenzie beat Middleton. Distress Foursomes: L. M. Abraham (Manawatu) and C.
