ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUNS

DEVELOPMENT IN UNITED STATES WASHINGTON, September 6. The War Department has awarded a 10,000,000-dct’lar contract for rapid-fire anti-aircraft guns sufficient to equip 32 regiments for the defence of key cities. The guns will be mounted on mobile units capable of a speed of 50 miles an hour. They fire French 75 millimetre shells to a height of 30,000 ft.
