SCORCH=MARKS

—♦ REMOVAL FROM FURNITURE. To remove scorch-marks from furniture, rub them over with sweet oil and then methylated spirit. Rub with a circular motion, first of all with the spirit, and then immediately with the oil. A good idea is to use cottonwool to nib on the oil and spirit.
