Light rain, after a heavy overnight downpour, delayed the start of the match between Australia and Gloucester, and there was no play before lunch. Rain continued after lunch, and play was abandoned for the day. Bradman has a strained back, which has not yet been diagnosed. He has gone to London for treatment.
