BRITAIN & THE UNITED STATES COMPLICATED AND DIFFICULT PROBLEMS MR STANLEY DENIES SERIOUS HITCH (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, May 31. The President of the Board of Trade, Mr Oliver Stanley, told the House of Commons at question time that he ws unable to give any indication when the Anglo-American trade negotiations were likely to be concluded. He added that there had been no serious hitch in the negotiations, but he could not undertake to make a statement before the' summer adjournment Any discussion on trade matters between two such important commercial countries, Mr Stanley reminded the House, must raise complicated and difficult problems and the negotiations must necessarily be long.
