GOLF CLUB COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) Ideal conditions prevailed for the second round of the William Hume Cup which was played by members of the local golf club on Saturday. The best net score was handed in by J. Carter. The final round will be played on Saturday, and M. Herangi has a small lead from several competitors. The scores were: J. Carter 90-22-68; Mrs Tikao 95-36-69; R. McDougall 93-22-71; G. Munro 87-15-72; B. McMaster 82-8-74; M. Herangi 95-18-77; D. Jones 93-14-79; D. Tikao 91-12-79; Mrs Carter 115-33-82, Riwai 100-15-85. . In a Doughty Cup eliminating series J. Carter defeated M. McLeod, J. Riwai and D. Jones.
