Horse Racing.

To the Editor of the Standard.

Sib, —We have a number ot raoe meetings, but there is a want of interest in them. It is the same old thing over and over again, and a change is desirable. Let ns go back to earlier days for an idea, and I am sure there would be more fun and a larger attendance at our meetings. Let us have farmers’jaces the horses used on a farm, butchers’ horses, bakers’ ditto, &c. True, there would not be much blood in it, but /or genuine, honest racing and merriment connected with it, it could not be beaten. I am, &0., Old Horse.
