The Feather.tun Rifle Volunteers concluded their prize tiring uu the Underhill range on Saturday. Vol Whiteman comes first with an aggregate of 250 points, Vol .1 Tooker second, 242; Capt A Donald|and Lieut D Smith tied for third place with 241 each. A rifle match wss fired on Saturday at Cattenon between the second team of the Greytown Rifles and the second team of the Carterton Rifles, resulting in a win for the local team by 49 points. The following are the scores :—Vols Rutherford 56, Dempsey Ik. Sergt Clifton 41, Vols Ratbbone 37, Waterson 31, Bugler Rising 33, Vol Gawler 29, Vol Dudson 26, Vol Hooper 23, total 354. Greytown—Vols J. R. Hobman 47, C. E. Gooding 42, T. Fisher 38, Corp Smith 31, Vol Harris 30. H. Benge 29. C. Blake 26, Corp Hawks 25, Bugler Hobman 23, Vol Braggins 14 total 305.
The following members of the Qreytown Rifle Volunteer Corps on Saturday qualified for markamen'e badges at the 700 yards range Sergt Trotman 3*2 points, Vol Hall, senr. 26, Col Sergt Willason 25. Lieut Porritt made 32 points also, although not competing for (be badge.
