MBS. SABAH HORNBLOW.

The residents of Greytown were painfully surprised on Monday afternoon at the iutels ligence that the wife of Mr C. W. Hj nblow had departed this life very suddenly. Tm re was nothing unusual during the forenoon in Mrs flornblow’s appearance, and she sat ovei some fancy work which she was intent upon finishing. Shortly after dinner she corns plained to her daughter Elizabeth that she did not feel very well, and then without any other warning she was seized with a fit. The assistance of one or two neighbours was soon procured, but their efforts to restore the sufferer were unsuccessful and she succumbed. As mayrbe expected the suddenness of the event was a painful and astounding surprise to her husband and to all tbe family, who were absent, and much sympathy is felt for them on every side. Mis Horn blow arrived in Wellington in 1857 in the ship Cossipore, and after spending about ten years in Wellington the family came to the' Wairarapa. £ or neatly 20 years she has beat living the retired but energetic life which 1 generally befals tbe mother of a large family.
