Waukaringa Goldflelds.
Considerable excitement prevails in Booth Australia, on account of the discovery of a new aift apparently rich goldfield on the Teetulpa Hun, about 50 miles eastward of the township of Waukaringa. The field wae discovered by an experienced miner named Brady, who worked in the California Gully, Bendigo, in July, 1852. The gold is found in a white quartz formation cropping out from the surface, and, so far, has been found -in small nuggets by picking it out from the stone with pocket-knives, shear-blades, and other primitive implements, washing apparently being not required. Several nuggets have been found up to soz or 6oz, and at depths from three inches to six feet below the surface. The diggings are situated about 25 miles from a railway station. Two thousand persons are now on the Waukariuga goldfields, where provisions are running short. Reports received from the field are less favorable than hitherto.
