Entertainment at Greytown.
There was a good attendance on Monday night at the Town Hall. Mrs M Wood anil Mr Luudqvist opened tho proceedings with a well played overture; Miss Gooding, of Tauherenikau, contributed a piano solo, and her playing was much admired. The piece was a difficult one and the way in which she played it showed that she had good musical talent. Mr A Bowers gave a song i i character and received an encore ; Mrs Wood and Mr Lundqvist followed with a paino and violin duet ; Mr Cox sang " Jack's Yarn " and received an encore ; Muster L. St Georg.; and Mr M. Varuham played a duet on tenor horns, and Mr A. L. Webster gave a reading. The Amateur Dramatic Society then took the stage and amused the audience with tho farce “ The Stage-struck Yankee,” the oataoters being taken as follows Douglas Donole, a Travelling Manager, Mr T Keed ■ well; Captain Chunk, Captain of Militia, J Barnard; Curtis Chunk, his son, stage struck, E A Campbell; Richard, servant to Captaiu Chunk, G Philips ; Miss Fanny Magnet, an actress, Lady amateur; Jedidah, a Yankee girl, Lady amateur. The characters were well represented anil the audience throughly appreciated the efforts ol the club to entertain them.
