Accident at Featherston.

A very sad accident happened on Wednesday last to a little boy, son of Mr W H Speakman, baker and confectioner, at Featherslon. The little fellow was playing around the bread cart which was being filled with loaves, the shafts resting upon a box, when he playfully clung on te the guard iron at the back of the vehicle, pulling it over on to his right leg, which completely smashed it above the knee. TTie little sufferer has been attended to by Dr Hanratty, and is progressing favorably. Mr Speakman haa of late been unfortunate. The other day one of his horses attached te the cart, dropped suddenly dead while on the road.
