Football.

The first team of Greytown and Carterton footballers play a match at the latter place to-morrow. Brake leaves Post Office at 1 o'clock. The following is the Carterton team : Forwards— C Fairbrother, Tboi. Moore, Ewen, McKenzie, Eaton, J Peters, P Peters, Nicholson, A Moore; half backs, Kemble, Banmber, Dempsey ; three quarter backs, Butherford, Fairbrother ; fall back, Usher. A Costume Football match will take place on the Greytown Becreatioa Beserve on Saturday, October 2nd, in aid of the Beserve, which will be the close of the football season. The following gentlemen have signified their intention of taking partW Udy. W Tully, J Hawke, B Terry, J Maguire, G Humphries, Luoena, Giigg, P Hawke, J Boydbouse, W Humphries, W Burch, A Wakelin, E Gray, M Varnbam, C Varnham, G Phillips, W Yates, Muir, Jackson, Tooker, 0 Beard, J Beard. A Beard, E Udy, A Udy, 0 Udy, Bodes. Others wishing to take part will oblige by giving in their names as early as possible to F Muir, the Secretary of Beserve Committee; We understand that a charge of 6d will be made at the gate. The Private Brass Band have kindly consented to give a few selections daring the afternoon, which no doubt will make the match more attractive.
