Beach’s Victory.
Loudon, September 3. In the final heat between Beach and Teemer, the full championship course, from Putney to Mortlake, was rowed in 22mins 45sec, which is the fastest time on record. At the conclusion Beach received s perfect ovation. When be was presented, after the race, with the first prize of £I2OO, Bench spoke a few words in tMpooM to some complimentary remarks that had been made upon his rowing, in the course of which he expressed his regret that Edward Banian, the ex champion, had oot competed for the sweepstake. It is rumored that the American eeoilers Teemer and Wallace Boss, between whom and Beach matches have bean arranged, have determined to forfeit their depoeits end withdraw from their engagements.
