The Loans to Local Bodies Bill.
Afieb all sorts of complications and JiDlcnlties the Loans to Local Bodies Bill has by this time been passed. The Bill originated in the House of Representatives, and having been passed there was in due course seat before the Legislative Council. The latter body made some amendments in the Bill, which were objected to by the House of Representatives. A conference was held consisting of certaic members of both Chambers, and in the end the amendments made in the Bill by the Council wore accepted by the House of Representatives, Thus the Bill becomes law, though somewhat altered from its original shape. It is fortunate that the Bill has been passed, because Bocal Bodies will now be able to lake advantage of the Government Loans provided for in the measure.
