The following cablegram was received yesterday by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited London, August 3. Wool.—Since the close of sales there has been considerable business done by private treaty in merino and crossbred, of good quality and light in greese, also in River Hate wool, at an average advance of 3d per cent on last sales closing rates. The Antwerp sales are brisk, having opened at an average advance of fully id to Ijd per lb on last Antwerp sales’ prices.
