After aome farther debate Mr Buchanan’s proposed new clause was rejected by 34 to 29 votes. LOAN BILL. . The Loan Bill was further considered in eommittee. The Government wanted to propoee the additionto tbe schedule of tbe amount by which it was diminished on Wednesday, viz., 2176,000 to be voted simply “ for railways in tbe South Island,” without being specially appropriated. The House objected to this, and on a division tbe propoeal waa rejected. Tbe schedule as amended (id eet, with £175.000 struck off the LI,500,000) was then agreed to. The Bill was recommitted, and the amount in clause 3, authorising tbe loan, waa altered from £1.500,000 to £1,325,000. The Bill having bean reported, it was ultimately resolved that its third reading be fixed for Monday, this day. Tha House rote at 3.15.
