George jTbomas and Co. report produce prices this week as follows “ Transactions in grain and bedstufi lines have been con. fined to retail parcels, and. on the whole, ihere is not the slightest alteration in price or demand. Oats are firm at 2s 6d for fair and 2s 8d and 2s qd for best short samples. Oaten chaff £4. Flour has usual business at following quotations —£l2 10s for roller and £ll 10s for stone process ; milling wheat has no enquiry, but fowls’ grain of good quality is particularly scarce : we quote 3s Qd to 4s per bushel, according to sample. Bran and pollard steady at £g to £j. Barley (fowls), in consequence of (he scarcity wheat is in somewhat better demand, but prices remain at last quoted, 2s 6d to 2s Bd. Potatoes still maintain their increased demand at 75s per ton for prime samples. Onions, £ll to /n to* ; beans, 3s 6dto 3s qd ; peas, 4$ 6d : black oats, grass seeds, turnips, and bacon are overstocked at yd per lb all round, cheese, far from brisk, 6Jd ; salt butter, no sale, fresh butter, rod o is; eggs, is 4d per dozen.
