The Wellington Racing Club's Steei lachase Meeting was held at the Halt Park on Saturday afternoon. About 600 persons ware present. Trial Steeplechase Handicap : Halioore 9st 71b, 1, Mountain Deer !)-t 71b, 2, Spartan Ost 71b, 3. Die, L 6 13s. Hurdle Handicap—Orient 10st 101 b. 1, Freebooter 9st 71b, 2, Forest King, Ost 81b, S. Dir, 89s. Hurdle Handicap—Halicote I, Tanrika 2, Locli Lomond 3. Div. 38s. Wellington Steeplechase Handicap—Denbigh 1, Secretary 2, Victor 3. The Lad. Orient, and Forest King also started. Div. L 4 Tbe Sailing Hack Race was won by SparUr, dir. L2 Is. Consolation—Victor 1, J. L. Bull,van 3, Freebooter 3. Di. ',2 ss.
