MASTEBTON—WEDNESDAY. BANKRUPTCY JURISDICTION. (Before District Judge Davy). In re James Henry Grattan application for ordinary discharge. Mr Banny on behalf of the Official opposed the application. Mr Bunny stated that the liabilities in the amount to Lllß 15s, and the ass#la consist* ing of book debts were put down at £SB Ls« bat bad been found to be worthless. In reply to a question, the debtor laid ha was employed at Chew's mill, and earned 10a per day when the mill was at work. He filed in December last, Since last Jan nary ha believed bis earnings would average £2 5s pec week. He had remitted £9 to his ohildred since January. He bad received no money beyond the wages he had earned. Me did not show notes to anyone about three weeks ego. Was not in the habit of gambling but wag led away about eight months before be filed, and lost £l6. 'fhe amount was £9O. Be beoame separated from his wils in Novembsc 1884. She supported herself and family chiefly. To His Honor—lt cost him about £3 psc week to live and clothe himself. His Honor said £1 would be mots like the amount. Mr Bunny said there was a witness at Oar* terton who saw the debtor exposing a earn of money three weeks ago. He asked that the ease might be adjourned. His Honor instructed the debtor to renew his application at the next sitting of tba Court. Orders of discharge wers granted to O. 0. Sage, B. G. Crosbie, and A. Armstrong. The public examination of William Joseph Gamblin, for whom Mr Skipper appeared, wag declared closed.—Daily.
