Viewer Garden.—Maintain a neat appearanaa by removing all decaying stems of late blooming plants, sneb as chrysanthemums, and collect all fallen leevee. Ao. The first lot of gladioli may now be planted out ; also Illinois, ezimum. eandidom. and lancifolinm. Maraams ehoold be planted, if not already done. Prone and thin out climbing loses. n P> prune, re plant, where necessary, KMea of all kind*. Prune teat and climbers with care ; they object to being cut too hard baek. The planting of ornamental shrubs •hoold be done is early ae possible. Any contemplated alteration of-design that ie deemed neeeeaary should be done at once, before Ihe coil gets too much saturated with rain. Any work that has been neglected last month mast receive first attention as 1 viator weather is about to commence. Fruit Gerdau.—The planting of frail trees should be attended to. All roots that have beau cut with a spade in the taking up, ehould have the ends cat with a sharp knife, as the wound will heal over and emit roots much sooner. Spread the roots out well, gad cover to the depth of two or three inches (according to sise of tree) above the first roots that radiate from the bole of the tree Make the ■oil thoroughly firm, and stake, if much expound to winds. Lime or crashed bones incorporated with the soil at the time of plant ing will prove of great value to all kinds of fruit trees in preventing many diseases that they are subject to. Pruning may now be done on the open coast, but better deferred in the bush till August. Planting forest tree* should b« proceeded with in the eailv nan of this month The same with shrub.-. If gums are not planted now, they should be deferred i ll September. Kitchen Garden.—Asparagus beds should be formed an i planted, and later in the spring they should get a good dressing of salt ou the bed. It is not necessary that rhubarb should he taken up every year, unless ao increase of the rock ie required. There should be a good supply of vegetable* this month, if care and forethought was exercised earlier in the eea son. Garbo, cachalot*, end potato oniens should be planted in the middle of this month, "•tly Torit cabbage ean be planted in •beltered situations near tbs sea eoast.
