Cure for a Cold.
Ihe fol.owing " new remedy for colds ” taken from tbe Christchurch Press, should be of interest at the present season of the year : Whenever you contract a cold, before resorting to drugs of any kind, the following it recommended. If able, go out into the open air, and bieathe copiously and deeply and slowly for about twenty times, repeating every hour until cured, if unable to go out, have the windows and doors open, wrap yourself in blankets or other warm clothing, .lufing which time do as just directed. Some persons having had a cough for six weeks, are said lo have gut rid ol it by ibis process , also cured themselves ol colds newly con traded ; therefore everywhere try to cultivate full and frequent long inflation by breathing clear out, clear nr, andlow down—that is, make all your breathing as when taking a long breath, and this will have a tendency to throw oft ihe waste material at the pores, and revitalise the blood, and thereby impart warmth and energy to the system. See that the rooms are well ventilated, e-pecialiy your sleeping appartment. Wear woollen stockings and strong boots. Some people wear soles made of rabbit skins,
