The Coming Session.
The session of Parliament will open on Saturday, the 15th inst. We .do not care to speculate on what will be the policy and measures to be brought forward by the Government. Various ministers have been making speeches during the last month or two. and hinting at what would be the policy of the Government, but as they all, mote or leas, contradicted each other, the people did not gain much real information from their deliverances. When Parliament has got into the full swing of work the Government will be compelled to declare their policy definitely. There will probably be some indications of a policy in “ the speech from the Throne,” but the real gist of what the Government propose doing will be found in the Financial and Public Works Statements to be made later on during the session. Meantime out readers must await * with patience the development of events.
