Nomination 1 sov, acceptance 30s. Hack Hurdle Race of 10 sovs. One mile ; over four flights of hurdles, 3ft 9in high. 10st up. Post entrance 10s. I'lmnDAT Handicap of 50 sovs ; second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes. One and a half miles, Nomination 1 sov ; acceptance 30a. Hack Race of 10 sovs. Once round the course. 10st up. Post entrance 10s. Olakeville Handicap of 25 sovs. One and a quarter miles; second horse to save his stakes. Nomination 1 sov ; acceptance 1 sov. Consolation Handicap of 20 buys. Once round the course. Nomination 10s ; i acceptance 1 sov. RULES AND REGULATIONS, All entries most be made subject to the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Stewards or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shall be final and binding in all [cases. Nominations for Handicap Hurdle Race, Birthday Handicap, and Clareville Handicap, to be made in writing, stating name, pedigree, performances, description, and age of horse, and the colors of the rider, and to be sent in accompanied by the nomination fee to the Hon. Secretary, G. W. Deller, Carterton, on or before THURSDAY, 29th Apbil, 18%, at 9 p.m. Weights to be declared on FRIDAY, 7th May, 1886, and published in the local newspapers. Acceptances and General Entries to be made on or before MONDAY, 24th May, 1888, at 9 p m. Three entries or the public money will be withheld. No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Sfcnwtary, within ten minutes after the race, accompanied by a deposit of two pounds, which shall be forfeited it the stewards are of opinion that the protest is frivolous or vexatious. All jockeys to ride in the colors nominated or a fine of 1 sov. will be enforced. The saddling bell will lint »t 11 a.m., first race to start at II 30 sharp. The rales of the Club to apply in all cases, where not provided for in this programme. A horse to ran in the Hack and Hack Hurdle jtacea, must comply with the following conditions, fl.) It most be in actual use as a * bona fid©’ hack. (2.) It most not have been trained, (i.e.) galloped or sweated in clothing or rug at least for six months before this race meeting. (3.) It must never have been entered for Any other *ace, the advertised stake of which being more than fifty pounds.
