Featherston Road Board.

The following is the Treasurer's statement submitted at the Board meeting on Saturday last, but which we were obliged to hold over through press of matter: —“ I have to report the amount to credit of general account at date, at £315 17s sd, and to the credit of imprest account £205 7s 9d. Since last meeting the sum of £35 19s lOd, being the rates on Native Lands to 31st March 1886, has been received. The abstract of balances for tbe year ending tbe 31st March shows the separate accounts,

Owing to the new valuation roll not having yet been before the Reviewers, it is questionable whether the Board will be able to strike a rate at next meeting, but an effort will be made, so that the Kale book and Ratepayers’ roll may be prepared by next meeting. I think 1 m y s.iy in conclusion that the Board hae had a fairly prosperous yepr and that it is satisfactory to see a small credit balance still remaining.
