GREYTOWN v MARTINBOHOUGH. Thia match (the last of the season,) was played at Greytown, on Saturday last, on a (air wicket, and resulted in favor of Greytown by three runs and eight wickets to fall. H. Hawke captained Greytown, and Badland the Lower Valley team, who took the bat first, and placed 29 runs to their credit before the last wicket fell, none of them getting into double figures owing to the superior bowling of Judd and Rutherford, both of whom bowled throughout the two innings. Hawson and Read were the only two who were able to make any show of cricket, both qf them playing in good form. Greytown’s first innings realised 4ti. Cox, a nicely played 19, beim; the only double-figure man, Hawke coming next with a steadily batted nine. The visitors in their second innings made 37, towards which number Rawson showed good cricket for his 11, F. Martin being the highest with 13. The batting of Rawson, Read and Cox was a feature ij the match. With 21 runs to win, Greytown commenced their second innings, which number was obtained with the loss of two wickets, Hawke being (he highest w.t i nine unis. With regard to the fielding mere was little •« choose between the two —boilt fielding well. In the bowline department Grcyiown'a was the best, JnJd’s analyst, showing II wickets for 20 rum, Rutherford, 9 for 33.
