Cardinal Moran in Wellington.
The reception tendered to Cardinal Koran at Wellington on Friday morning when La landed, was a moet enthnaiaetio one. The ehips were deocrated with bunting, and a crowd gathered on the wharf, numbering about 8000 people, who cheered the Cardinal when be landed. A lengthy prooeeaion waa formed, beaded by the band, and reached nearly from the wharf to Mannera street. It proceeded to ,8t Pattiek'a College, where the College bora, the children attending the Tborndon and Te Aro seboola, and of St. Joseph’s Orphanage and the Convent were drawn up. The girls were beautifully dressed, cardinal colored rosettes or sashes being very prominent. The Buckle street Chapel was packed, and when his Eminence and the Bishops and Clergy entered, the choir sang. Then several of the influential citizens read an address of welcome from the clergy and laity of the diooase ; then followed aa address from the Clergy of the College, the Hibehau Australasian Catholic Benefit Society, and from the students of St Patrick's College. Qis Eminence replied in an address full of sympathy and congratulation and the demonstration terminated.
On Sunday morning the Buckle Street Chapel, adjoining St Patrick's College, was densely packed by a large congregation, when High Mass was celebrated and His Eminent)# preached the opening sermon in couur a tion with the college.
