8a, —Can yon inform your readers tbe reason why passengers are prevented going by tbe luggage train T On Saturday last three Licensing Committees met at Feather■ton. The Act says 12 o’clock noon, which it. ia itself, sn absurdity, several ol the committee end other settlers having their several vocations to attend to, milk'Dg, Ac Wishing to go home by tbe four o’clock luggage train we were met with a point blank refusal, and had to wait for the seven o’clock paaaenger train. When an alteration ia made in the traffic we look (or an improve meat and not an inconvenience to the pnblia. An old carriage or guard's van with a smoking compartment, attached to the luggage train would meet tbe requirement. The present passenger trains do not smt this class of travellers as to time.
