We shall be glad if some of our readers can furnish us with a copy of Captain Smith’s report of his survey some twenty years ago of a railway line between Wellington and the Wairatapa. We have had the Provincial Council blue books iu the General Assembly Library searched through, and all the records iu the Crown Lauds Department have been examined, but no trace of it can be found. Perhaps some of our readers, if they cannot furnish us with the report, can acquaint us with the date when it was written.
