Alarming Accident on the Wairarapa Railway.
FOCB TRUCKS OFF THE LINE. MIRACULOUS ESCAPE OK PASSENGERS AND RACE HORSES. Aa the op train last night from Wellington to the Wairarapa vaa within ten yarda of the culvert at Bilveratraam, three trucks, which ware immediately io rear of the engine, suddenly left the line, snppoaed to have bran eaoaed by a stone lying on the track. These three trucks were piled upon each other at the aide of the line and completely amaahed, they contained barrels of beer, general merehandiea, jewellery, do., which will be found to be mneb damaged. After the three trucks next the engine left the rails, the coupling of the engine broke, and the engine proceeded alone for tome distance wnile aß*Ui«r. the fourth luggage van, toppled over. Kelt to lh« foe tr ■»*« iwn » j<boiea containing hone* entered for the Wairarapa Baeea at Greytown, and strange to aay they escaped, aa the first horse box remained intact without any dislocation and tha train ultimately puffed up witnout any farther mishap.
