Volunteering.

RIFLE MATCH FEATHBRSTON v WELLINGTON. A match took place on Anniversary Day at Feathers ton between a home team and one of the City Rifles. The visitors were entertained at lunch and afterwards joined in the school picnic at the invitation of Captain Donald. The close of the match was very exciting, the teams on several occasions being equal, and when the two last of each team had to fire the City Rifles were leading by four points, but when finished the scores stood thus— Feathersten, 371; City Rifles, 362, the former winning by nine points. The following are the scores:—
