MASTERTON-OPAKI RACES,

The Masterton-Opaki Race Club’s second day’s meeting came off on Monday, and was moderately attended. The Hurdle Handicap was won by Thompson’s Walkover, boating Halioore, Cribbage, and Dan O’Connel. Wen by three lengths. Div £3 ss. The Hack Hurdles were won by Piranga. Div £6 10s. The District Handicap was won by Rumor, Lady Maud second. Kakapo, Rollo, aud Gentle Annie also ran. Div £1 12s. The Hack Race was won by Rough Cut. Div £1 18s. The Tradesmen’s Handicap was wou by Pasha. Little Scrub, Lady Maud and Revoke also ran. Div £1 10s. Tc Whiti won the Novel Race, Welcome Jack also running. Div £1 Ids. Revoke won the Consolation. Lady Maud and Kakapo also ran. Div £3 Ms.

DUNEDIN AUTUMN MEETING. The following acceptances were received for the cup.
