DISTRIBUTION OF SHOW PRIZES
A special meeting of the Wairarapa, and East Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society was held on Saturday, when the prizes won a<. the late Show were distributed, consi-ting of the gold cup presented by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Oomuany, which waa won by Mr D. McMaster, and a handsome marble c’ock, presented by Mr Littlejohn, of Wellington, which fell to Mr W. C. Buchanan. There were 16 gold medals and 25 silver ones presented this year by the Society. Owing to the efforts that bad been made by the committee to raise funds to clear off the debenture debt tho Secretary (Mr H. If. Wolters) in his report stated that there would be no loss on the year's transactions. It "’>B resolved that the next Annual Ram Fair should be held on the 17th of February, and that the entraoe fee for anima's should be li per head up to five and 6d per head for all over that number. It was also decided 10 have a separate day for a Ewe Fair on the following day, 18th February next, the entrance fees to be 2s per score up to 100, and Is per score over that number.
