This race is only for horses owned at least six months previous to the day of races, trained and to be ridden by aboriginal Natives. 7. Mabtinboroogh Handicap. 30 sovs—One mile ; nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 10« RULES AND REGULATIONS. The saddling bell will ring at 11.30 u.m,. the first race start at IS noun sharp. Each Race will start punctually at the tune appearing in the correct cards cf the races. The flat races to be run under the L.V.J.C, Rules. The Steeplechase under the N.Z.G.N.S.C. Rules. No scratching of horsesallowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before the time of starring. ...... All entries and nominations to be made m writing, sealed and addressed to the Secretary, entrance money to be enclosed with color, sex, name, age and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colors ofthe rider. , In case of a protest, the same must he lodged with the Secretary, in writing, within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if the pretest is not sustained. No entry will be received for any of the races, oxceut upon the conditions, that all claims disputes and objections arising out of the races shall ho decided by a majority ofthe stewards present, or those whom they may appoint.
