TO STAND THIS SEASON, AT THE VICTORIA HOTEL, FEATHERSTON, The Thorough-Bred Horse TREASON. By Traducer, dam Lady Jane by Riddlesworth, grand-dam Medora by Olendower Arab. TREASON is a beautiful gulden chsanut, standing about sixteen bauds high, with immense bone and muscle, with very superior action ; has a splendid constitution, and good temper : is quiet to ride and handle. Ho has proved himself a sure foal-getter; has distinguished himself well on the turf, having never lost a race when starling for weight-for-age and and welter weight-for-age. He took first nnze at Richmond Agricultural Show, Nelson ; he also took first prize at the Marlborough Agricultural Show. TREASON is the sire of that splendid cross-country horse Erebus, that ha* so well distinguished himself both on the flat and over hurdles, from Treason’s great site and splendid crossing of blood—Riddlesworth and Traducer—he cannot fail to Mi good staring stock, suitable for cross-country, carriage, hacks ana racehorses. TREASON will be at the following places during the season, weather permitting •—Greytown and Carterton Fridays ; Masterton Saturdays, and Waihenga Mondays. Mangles* deserved popularity in this district for the splendid stock he has sired, is increased by his close relationship to such a celebrity as Welcome Jack; and in limiting Mangle to 30 marcs,his owner intends that he shall bare a chance of still further showing off what rare strains of blood his pedigree consists. By Malton (imported), dam Spray by Donisetti, out of Lady Ann by Whisker. Malton was bred by Sir Tatton Sykes and was by Rifleman, by Touchstone— Campfollower by the Colonel Malton’s stock were not only good racehorses, but his family have proved that like begets like, Spray was the dam of Belle of the Isle, (Admiral’s own sister) who added to her list of victories the Canterbury Cup, and afterwards produced Templeton whose career on the tuifwas simply marvellous. ADMIRAL will stand at J. F. Tocher’a, Kaiwaiwai, South Featherston, where paddocking (2000 acres) will be provided free of charge till mares are stinted, when notice will be given, after which they will be charged.
