Malton's stock were not only good racehorses, but his family hare proved that like begets like, Spray was the dam of Belle of the Isle, (Admiral’s own sister) who added to her list of victories the Canterbury Cup, and afterwards produced Templeton whose career on the tuifwas simply marvellous.
