Featherston Town Board.

The regular monthly meeting of the Featherston Town Board, was held on Monday. Commissioners present :—Messrs Reynolds (chairman), Cundy, Hodder and Donald. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurers book shewed a balance of £ll3 11s Id. The following accounts were passed and paid :—John Beel, £2 9s 2d ; Bloxham, £4 4s ; J. H, Hodder, £2O ; Keys, £1 7s Bd. The Poundkeeper’s book was laid on the table and fees paid £1 2s. The Ranger paid in the 4s. The Registrar of Dogs paid in fees 10s. Correspondence inwards was read from Secretary of Agricultural and Pastoral Association ; Mr Elgar re furze in Murphy-street; from Treasury office with voucher for rates ; Chief Postmaster re letter bos. An apology from Mr Oakley lor non-attendance. Outwards to Chief Postmaster re latter box, and Property Tax Department re rates, Mr Oakley’s notice of motion was ordered to stand over till next meeting. The Clerk was instructed to order a copy of Wilfred Badger’s Local Government Guide. It was resolved that a progress payment of £2O be made to Joseph H. Hodder, also that the footpath in Fox-street be proceeded with as soon as convenient.
