Taratahi-Carterton Road Board.
This Board met on Saturday, Present— Messrs D. Boys (chuiiman), W. Booth, A, Gallon, W. Parker, J. Erynolds, E. W. Dorset, H. Braiihwaite, H. E, Bunny, and N. Grace. The credit balance was stated to be L39|fes Bd. Ur Booth moved that the request of Mr W. Hart for remuneration for felling Lush on Haines’ line be aooec’ed to. Agreed upon. Mr James Houdei "rote requesting the Board to repair a culvert on his line of road. Matter to be left in the hands of the warden. Several tenders were received lor work done (bush falling) on Joseph’s line, Matarawa, and that <f W. Ordish, at 9s 9d per chain, was accepted. Mr H. E, Bunny gave notice of motion tot the next meeting of the Board as follows That the Government subsidy be expended on Nos. 1 and 8 wards when received Mr Gallon applied for permission to advertise for tenders for dealing about forty chains of road. Allowed to stand over untiljthe spot be propsrly defined on the map. Accounts to the amount ol Lll3 17s were passed Er psymect. if
