ADDITIONS TO THE ENGLISH NAVY. THE ROUMELIAN CONFERENCE. BEACH t. TEEMER, SKIRMISHING BETWEEN SERVIANS AND BULGARIANS. REPORTED REVOLUTION IN BURMAII. KING THEEBAW SAID TO BE MURDERED. London, October 27. Lord George Hamilton, Pint Lordof the Admiralty, announces that it is intended during the next two years to construct nine ironclads, having a combined tonnage cf SO,OOO tons. The French Government are in receipt of deipatches from General De Courey, commanding the French forces m Tonquin, announcing that his troops have succeeded in capturing the Black Flag stronghold of Than Mai, completely dispersing the enemy, and occupying the position in force. The representatives of Great Britain and France vesterday notified to his Majesty the Sultan that their respective Governments agreed to take part in the projected Conference on the Bulgarian question. The Turkish delegates have not, however, yet been appointed, and the Conference is iu consequence postponed until next week. October 28. Skirmishes have taken place along the frontier line between the Servian and Bulgarian troops. Calcutta, October 23. It is currently reported tbat a revolution has taken place at Mandalay, and that the Burmese King Thcebaw has been murdered by his subjects. The report So far, however, lacks oilicial confirmation. Sydney, October 27. A sculling match for £SOO a-side and the championship of the world has been arranged between Beach, the champion, and Teenier, who recently defeated lianlan. Beach allows Teenier 8100 for expenses. October 28. The strike of the Lambton miners is as yet unsettled, and there appears to be a strong disposition on the part cf the whole of the miners of Newcastle to join in the strike.
