This race is only lor horses owned at least six months previous to the day of races, trained and to be ridden by aborigi nal Natives. 7. Maetinbobocoh Handicap, 30 eovs—One mile ; nomination, 1 aov; acceptance, 10a RULES AND REGULATIONS. The saddling bell willring at 11.30 a.in., the first race start at 12 noon sharp. Each Race will start punctually at the tune appearing in the correct cards of the races. The flat races to be run under ihe L.V.J. C. Rules. The Steeple, chase under the N.Z.G.N.S.C. Rules. No scratching of horses allowed except through the Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes before the time of starting. . . All entries and nominations to bo made in writing, sealed and addressed to the Secretary, entrance money to be enclosed with color, sex, name, age and pedigree of the horse, name of the owner and colors oftho rider. In case of a protest, the same must be lodged ivith the Secretary, in writing, within fifteen minutes alter the race is run, with a deposit of two guineas, such deposit to be forfeited if the pretest is not darned. No entry will be received for any of the races, excent upon the conditions, that all claims, dispute . and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision uponall poidta con. nected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. Nominations for Flying Steeplechase, L.1.J.C., Hativo Race and Martinborough Handicaps, close with the Secretary, at Martinborough on Thursday, November 19th, at 11 p.m. Weights declared for Flying Steeplechase, L.V.J.C., and Native Race Handicaps, on Saturday, December Sth, at 7 p.m. Acceptances for the same on Thursd.-y, December 17th, at 11 p.m,, at which time the entries for the Selling Race close with the Secretary at Martin, borough. Weights for the Martinborough Handicap to be declared on the course after the Native Race is over. Acceptances for the same to be made 30 minutes he. fore the race takes plaoe. Final payments for the L.V. J.C., and Steeplechase Handicaps to be made on the course an hour before the appointed time of starting for those events. No entry, nomination, acceptance, or final payments will be accepted after the appointed time under any pretence whatever. In the event of a walk over, only fifty per cent of the stakes will be given Horse owners should bear in mind that letters require to be in the Featherston Post Office on Mon. days and Thursdays afternoon to catch the mails going down to Martinborough on those days.
